1. Why do I need an account on Allrecipes?
In order to rate or review a recipe, create a shopping list, or store recipes in a recipe box you need to establish an account with a unique username and password for both Lactaid.com and Allrecipes.com. The recipes and their associated ratings and reviews that you see on the Lactaid.com website have been provided by Allrecipes.com.
In order to provide you with the most up to date recipes, ratings, and reviews, all of this information lives on both Lactaid.com and Allrecipes.com simultaneously, which means if you rate or review one of the recipes while you are on the Lactaid.com site, the rating or review will be seen on both Lactaid.com and Allrecipes.com. Because you are actually rating or reviewing an Allrecipes recipe, you will need to establish an Allrecipes.com account.
2. Where do the recipes come from?
The majority of the recipes you see in the recipe section of Lactaid.com come from home cooks like you who have submitted their recipes to the Allrecipes.com recipe website. Some of the recipes are uniquely created by the LACTAID® Brand’s recipe developers.
3. Where do the ratings and reviews come from?
Home cooks can rate and review the Allrecipes recipes on either Lactaid.com or on Allrecipes.com. The LACTAID® Brand recipes can only be found on Lactaid.com.
4. Where do users submit recipes?
If you have a great recipe that you'd like to submit, you can do so on Allrecipes.com. Note that submitting a recipe to Allrecipes.com does not necessarily mean it will be published to the Allrecipes.com website or to the Lactaid.com website.
5. What is the "Remember Me" function?
Once you have established an account with the recipe section of Lactaid.com you can use the "Remember Me" checkbox on the login page so that you don't need to log into Allrecipes every time you rate or review a recipe or use the recipe box or shopping list on Lactaid.com. Logging into your Lactaid.com account will be sufficient for accessing this feature. If you use a public computer, which is shared by other users, you should not choose the "Remember Me" check box.
6. How do I make it so that I don't need to log into Allrecipes every time?
Once you have established an account with the recipe section on Lactaid.com, you can use the "Remember Me" checkbox on the login page so that you don't need to log in every time membership functions are used. Just check the "Remember Me" check box the next time you enter your username and password on the login page.
7. What do you do with my information?
LACTAID® Brand and Allrecipes use your information to establish your own personal account where you can have access to recipe membership features. Your information will not be sold to any third party. For further information, please review the privacy policy by clicking on the "privacy policy" link on the page.
8. Do you share information between LACTAID® Brand and Allrecipes?
During the account creation and login process, your username is shared with LACTAID® Brand. All other account information remains with Allrecipes and is not shared.
9. Why do I need cookies enabled?
Allrecipes requires cookies in order to ensure security of personal accounts. If you wish to use recipe membership features, you will need to set your Internet browser to accept cookies from Lactaid.com.
