'Here's another of my favorite shrimp dishes. It is always a hit at my parties, and when I serve it at restaurant functions, the platters are always picked clean. Coconut and shrimp love each other. When the coconut is combined with coarse Japanese Panko breadcrumbs, it creates a coating that enrobes the shrimp in a golden shell that is virtually unequalled in its gorgeous crispness. I decided to have some extra fun here and use the strips of sugarcane for skewering the shrimp.
